Welcome to GrowQuest — turning chores into quests
Why we built GrowQuest: a gamified task manager that makes helping at home something kids actually want to do.
Most family chore apps fail for the same reason: they look like spreadsheets. GrowQuest is the opposite. Every task is a quest, every completion earns XP, credits, and the chance to hatch a new Growy — a tiny companion that levels up with your child.
Why gamified?
Kids respond to progress. When brushing teeth and making the bed feed the same loop as a video game — XP bars, levels, collectibles — the resistance drops. Not because chores become fun on their own, but because the surrounding experience pulls them through.
What's inside
- Quests — parents create tasks (daily, weekly, one-off) with XP and credit rewards.
- Growies — 9 species, 2 evolution stages each. Hatch from eggs earned on approved quests.
- Boss quests — weekly family bosses. Every approved quest chips away at the boss's HP.
- Classes — at level 5, kids pick a class (Guardian, Scholar, Explorer, Creator) with passive bonuses.
- Reward store — parents set real-world rewards (screen time, a trip, a new book) and kids buy them with earned credits.
For parents, not against them
GrowQuest doesn't try to replace parenting. The approval workflow keeps you in the loop: you review completions, approve purchases, and decide what gets rewarded. The app handles the scoreboard.
What's next
We're iterating in public. Up next:
- Seasonal events and limited-time Growies
- Character class abilities (active, once-per-day)
- A proper avatar editor with unlockable outfits
If you want to follow along, the pricing page has a premium tier that keeps this whole thing running — and gives you unlimited children, analytics, and premium rewards. One free child is always, always free.
Thanks for being here.
